So I am really excited to be heading off to law school next year, and rather than pulling my hair out over why I haven't heard back from the schools I applied to I decided I am going to take this time to read up on what to expect.
I have read and love Miller's "Law School Confidential," and I am in the process of ordering "1L of A Ride" and "Getting to Maybe," but I was wondering if there are some other similar books I should check out? Thanks for any help or advice!

just chill...this shits gonna take over your life before you know it. enjoy yourself until then. i read 1L and thats about it. GTM is overkill...it wont make much sense or be very applicable before your first semester.

I've always been a proponent of doing a little "prep" before law school, so I'd go ahead and recommend what you are already reading/have read, and in addition I recommend doing LEEWS before the start of the semester. Sure, you COULD do it during the first semester, but time is kind of valuable in law school, so you could apply a little free time you have in the summer to LEEWS (which doesn't require any legal knowledge).
Don't bother reading E&Es though, or any other substantive material. You will just end up rereading it anyway.
Sweet avatar, by the way.

Thanks! Some people I know say I look like her, so I thought it would be a good anonymous match.
I also picked up "Planet Law School II" yesterday and started reading it. I am kind of disappointed with it though---it focuses a lot on specifics of each class and black letter law which can be confusing for someone who is not already in law school. Oh well, maybe it will be a huge help IN law school.

Really, after being in law school for a couple months, there isn't a lot to do that will substantially help out, it seems.
GTM and LEEWS are probably the best bets. Be wary of learning any BLL or anything substantive, since different profs like different stuff.
