When they as for "criminal offense or violation," they're not talking about traffic violations, correct?
If they were talking about traffic violations, they would explicitly state that, correct?

Thanks. I've seen some varying wording in the questions from school to school.
But I've only seen one that explicitly asks for traffic info... what's the deal?
If a school asks for just criminal incidents and violations, can I/would you omit the traffic violations?

It varies by school and depends on the language in their application. Some will ask if you have violated ANY law (traffic included with that). Some will say disregard minor traffic offenses (speeding is a minor traffic offense, unless you were doing 160), some put a $ limit that you have to disclose all above it. Some ask for official documents pertaining to your speeding tickets.
