Books...

Post by b2582 » Sat Oct 30, 2010 3:33 pm

Does anyone know what books are typically required of first year students? I'd like to get a leg up if possible.....

--Thanks!

the big ones with red and blue binding.

more seriously, i'm pretty sure it's professor specific. even within my school we're not all using the same books (with the exception of a crim book that was written entirely by members of our faculty), so it's pretty improbable that people from other schools will have anything useful to tell you. even supposing you did find out which books you needed, those things are pretty big. kinda hard to figure out which parts you'll read and which you won't. if ur gonna gun before the semester starts, reading supplements is probably a better choice.

Don't bother. I have professors that skip entire sections, and sometimes tell you only specific pages and problems to do. You have no way of knowing what books will be assigned or what reading.

There is pretty much no way this can help you.

Some people are just nuts. It's not their fault though.
