Early Admission

Post by 3|ink » Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:46 pm

Most of the schools that I intend to apply for early admission require the application and the payment on or before October 31, 2010. However, they maintain that the application does not have to be completed until December 1, 2010. Assuming I am applying electronically, does my personal statement have to be submitted by October 31st with the initial application, or can that wait until the December 1st deadline? I figure it probably depends on the school, but I was wondering if anyone knew about this in general.

Generally yes. The later deadline is usually to accommodate the time it takes LSAC to forward your materials (LORs, etc) to the school, and the time it takes the school to add those materials to your file. Personal statement, etc, should be attached to your application when you first submit.
