Are international students eligible for grants?

I'm from Canada, just wondering is it possible for me to receive any grant from any orgs?

Private grants yes, Fed. direct loans no.

Yes some schools specifically note that International students who are not eligible for Fed loans will receive department/school grants instead to take place of the loans. Of course they would have to decide to give it to yo, but yes you are allowed.
