My friend told me that the FBI looks into your background for the bar, not sure if this is true, if so, do they just run background checks or do more? If not, my friend is a jerk. Either way kind of scary.

If you are applying for a government job an OPM investigator will look into your background for your clearance but this is entirely different than the FBI. State bar issues are state issues...the FBI is a federal law enforcement agency and could care less.

Why are you so worried? If there is something out there, it is possible C&F will still find it. They have some mechanism to choose people for more intensive investigation.

Not really worried, just curious if they look into the financials of the companies you work for. Pretty sure one place I worked at was a boiler room. I don't think that reflects on me necessarily, I was just an intern there, but who knows.
