I thought the Contracts and the Civ Pro E&Es were really well done. However, it probably won't help you to read it before classes.

The Torts E&E is very accessible and understandable for most people; I suspect most if not all 0Ls will find it an easy read, even if most of the details & nuances are only superficially understood.

I'd recommend contracts. It has great information about studying law in general in the beginning chapters (i.e. not everything is just about contracts). I've started Civil Pro, but I'm lost, and I've decided to wait until I'm in school to actually make it thorugh it.

I read on this board not to do Criminal Law, because what is taught in class varies greatly among law schools. (I.e. sometimes it is state specific.)
