Anything I can do now?

Post by aggie2013 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 3:39 am

Hey!
I am currently a sophomore Political Science major at Texas A&M, and I have a 3.812 thus far. I was just wondering if there is anything that I can do now that will prepare me for admissions into a T14 Law School and the LSAT!

Thanks you guys sooo much!

This is a great website btw! ;)

search the threads about lsat preparation, follow the advice there. With your GPA and a strong lsat you will be in a great position. g'luck.

Keep that GPA up. Mine was in your neck of the woods sophomore year and dropped to a 3.3 by the time I graduated. It is so worth the few extra hours of studying and skipped parties to have a great GPA and get into an excellent law school (perhaps even with $$).

Christ, enjoy college. Keep that GPA as high as you can and come back in a year to prep for the LSAT.

Or better yet, switch your major to bio pre-med so you can possibly get a job someday.

+1

And para is dead on when saying to do stuff you enjoy. There is almost nothing you can do (student orgs, volunteer work) that will make you really stand out.... other than not doing anything.

Start doing untimed LSAT practice work. Have fun with it. That way when you register and start prepping for the real test you'll just have to make sure you're within the time constraints.

Take an introduction to logic course before you begin LSAT prep. You'll be a step ahead when you start.
