2010-11 Cycle as competitive as 2009-10?
Can anyone provide reasonable insight to the 2010-11 cycle? I know that the current cycle has seen a noticeable increase of applications due to the current recession, but will the next cycle ease up a little seeing as how the economy *might* be turning around? If anyone knows of any articles that discuss this, please let me know. Thanks.

If unemployment stays high, I'd assume the same. Maybe even worse since peoples whose careers stalled during the economy might be bailing.jjlaw wrote:Can anyone provide reasonable insight to the 2010-11 cycle? I don't know ... mid career jobs are easy to find at least in my sector. I had 5+ interviews within a week of posting my resume and landed first offer in 4 days... I was REALLY surprised, so this year in between is going to be sweet.Desert Fox wrote:If unemployment stays high, I'd assume the same. I think the economy and the job market is rebounding, especially for people who are capable of getting into top law schools.
I hope anyway, I need this cycle to work out!

If the economy does improve and people find jobs, things might ease up the next cycle (for entering 2012).
