Now that I'm admitted and going, should I prepare?
Reaching out to you law students and fellow admitted students, should I prepare for the fall law school semester? With all the prep programs out there (lawpreview.com, cleoscholars.com, lawschoolexperience.com), are you taking them and are they worth the cost ($500-$1300)? I know we have to learn the class materials during our first year, but are the skills you learn during these programs worth the cost?
I'm very nervous about law school - getting called on by professors, sounding like an idiot - have these programs built confidence for others?
Sorry I posted this elsewhere too - but i think this is the right place now - but thanks for the rude message saying so!

No, don't bother with those shills. If you want to be proactive about preparing for your law school, get in touch with students at your school and ask them for advice.

I'm anxious to hear all you 1L and 2L's as well on this question. Can't believe it hasn't been asked before. What hornbooks, EE's, LEEWS, books, and classes does everyone recommend? Serious replies only. I realize this site has a snarky rep. but this is important!!!!

Will they be as friendly, helpful and receptive to all our dumb 0L questions in person as they are on the forums?rockstar4488 wrote:No, don't bother with those shills. It's easy for you to grin, when your ship comes in. And you have the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile is the man who can smile, when his shorts are too tight in his seat.Big Shrimpin wrote:Mr. Matlock wrote:I'm anxious to hear all you 1L and 2L's as well on this question. Getting to Maybe is probably the most valuable book to read. Other than that, you could try this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 11&t=77498
But as far as I know (I'm in the same situation as you) and based on what faculty and fellow law students at my place recommend, it's best to be in the most relaxed state of mind before going to law school. So yeah, drinking and gaming are in order.
