Confused.... When to take LSAT?
Basically been hitting 163-165 on the past 6 PTs I have taken.
I think I am graduating Fall 2011 and I think that 1Ls can only only start in the Fall.
1.If I take the test in Oct and get a good score, can I apply to law schools that early? Or would it be best to take it June 2011 being that it is closer to Fall 2012.
2.Also If I graduate Spring 2011 would it matter when I take the lsat?
3.Another Question can you be accepted before you grad without knowing the final semester grades.

Mastering English first might be more beneficial.
On the off chance that I understand what you're asking, you can take it any time you wish. The score is good for 5 years, I believe.

Then you should be well-versed in the wordplay of the English language.
Take the LSAT whenever you feel comfortable.
You apply for Fall 2012 in Fall 2011.

Lol, thanks. Sorry, just exhausted.
So it wouldn't matter when I took the test just as long as its before the application date?
So if I graduate Spring 2011, I would still have to apply for Fall 2012?
Also how early can you apply?

Re: Confused.... When to take LSAT?
Applications for Fall of 2012 (the term for which you should be applying if graduating FA 2011) will be made available August or Sept of 2011, with the earliest applications typically being accepted in September 2011. That being said, it doesn't matter when you take the LSAT, as long as you take it before applying to law school, but not more than 5 years before you apply for law school. So, Oct 2010 and June 2011 are both good options.jeremydc wrote:Basically been hitting 163-165 on the past 6 PTs I have taken.

If that meant you would be attending law school starting FA 2011 instead of FA 2012, then you would need to take it before applying this Fall, the earliest test date you can register for now being the Oct 2010 LSAT.2.Also If I graduate Spring 2011 would it matter when I take the lsat?

If you plan to go right into law school, then that would be Fall 2011. Apply the fall before (this fall). You should be taking the LSAT by October 2010 to get your apps in.jeremydc wrote:Lol, thanks. Sorry, just exhausted.

Re: Confused.... When to take LSAT?
Thank you very much for clearing that up. Now I can focus a bit more on my softs knowing that I can take the Test in January instead of October.

Forget softs. Focus on the LSAT and your GPA.

Then focus on the LSAT. All the volunteer work in the world won't serve you as well as a 170+.

Actually, I think every 5 hours of volunteer work is equivalent to 1 point on the LSAT.kalvano wrote:Then focus on the LSAT. All the volunteer work in the world won't serve you as well as a 170+.
