Schols w/stips - do you keep yours or lose it?

Post by ruleser » Thu May 13, 2010 12:09 am

You see a lot on these boards that you should assume you will lose your schol if it has a signficant stip (ie, something beyond just staying in good standing)

Interested to find out in reality how many of you who had schols with stips were able to keep yours, and how many did in fact lose them.

Also, if you want to note what the stip was.

I had to maintain a 3.25 to keep my scholarship, which meant I had to be somewhere in the top 25%-30%.

The thought of losing the scholarship motivated me to work hard. Just finished my 3L year, scholarship in tact. I am part time, so one more year to go.

Happy to answer any questions people may have.

Well so far keeping it after 1L seems pretty solid, but losing after 2L is the leader so far - to Giddy- were you well within the cushion, or did it ever get very close/were you ever thinking you might lose it?
