U-pack

Post by tinyone » Tue May 04, 2010 1:18 pm

Has anyone used this service? I am thinking of using it for my move from Atlanta to Dallas in July. I was going to use a 12-ft Penske but w/ gas factored in I think U-Pack is cheaper, plus I don't have to worry about driving which is great.

I'd appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Had a friend use it to move a couple of times throughout the West. He highly recommended it to me--nothing broken, arrived pretty much on time (I think one box was a couple days late once), easy to use.

I haven't used U-Pack, although I used PODS which is the same idea. While I looked at both I founds PODS to be less expensive to move LA-->Dallas and Dallas -->LA. It worked really well, you can store the containers at the destination for a month which is great if you haven't found an apartment/ house yet. The staff were great etc. Although they just raised their prices, so for my next move I'm doing it myself with U-haul. (My stuff just isn't worth 5k!)
