Villanova (Full Ride) vs. BU, BC or GW

Post by Rayjay » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:54 am

Can anyone provide me with some input. I have a full ride to Villanova. On the other hand I got 10,000/yr from BC and would have to pay full price at BU and GW. I am also still waiting to hear back from Cornell.

It would be nice to graduate with no debt, but BU, BC and GW have higher reputations. Any opinions would be appreciated

depends on where/what you want to practice, but pending a response to those questions, i'd say bc.

I forgot to mention that I am from Philadelphia and would like to ultimately settle here as well.

BC does still seem like a good choice though

BU is probably the best of those schools.

it will be easier to stay in philadelphia by going to villanova, and save you a bundle of money. besides, if you do well at villanova, you'll essentially have your choice of job in philly.

If you want to remain in Philly and you can commute (and save on COL) then I vote nova.

I'd think If you have the numbers for a full ride at Nova then there's a good chance you'll do well enough there to place high enough to compete for any Philly job as well as if not better than you would with a BC JD.

From what I've read, Philly's job market can be pretty insular. Nova's your best bet for getting a job in Philly.

You should've mentioned that u want to stay in philly earlier...

Go with Villanova- what are the stipulations to keep ur full scholly?

If you want to stay in Philly Nova for sure, take the low debt, it will leave you with so much more freedom than the other schools.

stipulations are that I must maintain a 3.2.

I guess Villanova would be the obvious choice except I am not really sure what I want to do. I could see myself working in a Philly firm and hating it. I just want to have options.
