Do you have to be a gunner to make law review and be top 10% or better?
Do any of the quiet, hardworking students make top spots or are almost all the top seats taken by GUNNERS?
Just curious if I should become the annoying suckup type..... Everyone's met one.

Re: Gunners?
Grading is blind. The most participation is going to get you is a small boost if a professor needs to break a tie in order to set the curve. Some of the quiet types do very well and make law review, others do average or poorly. Some of the "gunners" (here, gunner refers to the people who raise their hands all the time because they love to hear themselves talk) do very well and make law review, others do average or poorly. I get the feeling there are a few people who believe their hand-raising will help them do well; anyone dumb enough to believe this will not make law review. Most gunners are obnoxious for other reasons than an alleged grade boost.
