I think I'm going to seriously regret this part of my life.
I spend so much goddamn time thinking about where I'm going to be next year, checking my email 30 times a day to see if IUB/Case/Pitt/IUIndy have given me an answer yet, blowing time of TLS.com, having conversations with my friends/girlfriend/family about where I will be/what my best options. I'm wasting soooooooo much time thinking about August. What a waste of time.

Focusing more on the here and now. Spending more time on my part in 12th Night, putting more effort into my homework, etc. You could say doing that is pointless in your last semester. But how much point is there in spending so much time anticipating an answer from schools that will inevitably come eventually?GATORTIM wrote:what else would you be doing?scionb4 wrote:I spend so much goddamn time thinking about where I'm going to be next year, checking my email 30 times a day to see if IUB/Case/Pitt/IUIndy have given me an answer yet, blowing time of TLS.com, having conversations with my friends/girlfriend/family about where I will be/what my best options. You're just too existential for your own good.scionb4 wrote:Focusing more on the here and now. Go get drunk.
You might still think about it, but you'll be more inclined to seek out cute girls who are in similar situations and comiserate. True story.

I completely agree with everything you said. It's a massive waste of time, and nothing I do helps me whatsoever. It only makes me more anxious. Decisions will inevitably come, and nothing I do/think/say will change them - it only pisses other people off, and wastes the little relatively "free" time I have left before law school. Thinking about it from time to time or getting excited about it is fine; obsessing over it is not.

It's just so hard not to.NYVA311 wrote:I completely agree with everything you said. It's a massive waste of time, and nothing I do helps me whatsoever. It only makes me more anxious. Awesome. I think that's the hardest role in the show, tbh, and far more interesting than worrying about law school. Break a leg.scionb4 wrote:Malvolio.

Yeah, it is really hard not to since the decisions will have a large impact on us. I never had this problem for college. I think I forgot about most of it until I had letters in the mailbox and I was like oh right! Best advice I have is to distract yourself with something you enjoy doing. That way you're not only avoiding it, but you're also putting your time to good use and enjoying yourself. I generally don't think about it much when I'm with my girlfriend so that could be an option for you. Eh, I know this doesn't help much and is obvious advice, but it's worth trying as hard as it can be.scionb4 wrote:It's just so hard not to.NYVA311 wrote:I completely agree with everything you said. I'm a theatre enthusiast as well (and 12th Night is actually one of my favorites)! Break a leg!scionb4 wrote:Thank you! I haven't met any fellow theatre enthusiasts on TLS.thalassocrat wrote:Awesome. Lol, it's my minor and I work in my uni's scene shop. Twelfth Night was the first Shakespeare play I ever read/was in and still has a special place in my heart.forty-two wrote:I'm a theatre enthusiast as well (and 12th Night is actually one of my favorites)! I'm kind of partial to his tragedies, myself. But this will be a lot of fun, and very challenging.

Played Toby myself. Awesome play.

Oh, thanks Tim from Gainseville (I'm assuming). What do you think of Tim Tibow (Teboe . . . T-Boner, whatever) getting all this publicity doing superbowl commercials and making appearances at Nascar races?GATORTIM wrote:My take on the TLS name "The Pen is Mightier"....it's an SNL skitscionb4 wrote:I'm confused . . .GATORTIM wrote:

Discrediting someone on the basis of their alma mater's QB is a credited rhetorical device.scionb4 wrote:Oh, thanks Tim from Gainseville (I'm assuming). What do you think of Tim Tibow (Teboe . . .
