I don't know about W&M, but I worked in Norfolk VA for a couple years . the "Hampton Roads" area makes for a decent city. Like any city, the women are diverse and plentiful.

Thank you for pointing that out!!!!! There are so many double standards in this world, most of them targeted squarely at people who are Caucasian, heterosexual, protestant, American males. Seriously, if you belong to that group, you have to watch EVERYTHING that you say so as to avoid offending people. Just look at all the shit James Cameron is getting for "Avatar!" It's true, but I don't agree it's sad. It's biology - you can't expect men to see women as nothing more than intellectual and professional peers. Indeed, if every man you saw every day just saw you as a professional you'd probably be a little upset... There is a difference between men respecting women as professionals and men and women trying to excise basic biological inclinations from their character.

I think OP's concern is a bit silly, but it's not completely illegitimate. I don't recommend dating law school classmates, but he didn't limit his question to just the law school. Williamsburg is a small town and most of OP's potential romantic interests will likely be W&M students. It's fair to ask what they look like.

I don't see the relevance of you being bisexual. I would think it was just as offputting to hear a gay person say "Are there going to be hot dudes in class" or a girl saying something similar about men. The discrimination stuff is a legitimate concern, and asking if there is a particular community at a school seems equally valid.

I'm sorry but I must have missed the part where he said anything remotely resembling that. The OP asked what the women at W&M are "like"... That could be interpreted in a large variety of ways. Assuming that he is refering to looks, it's still not a ridiculous question as he never implied that he would be basing his decision to attend on the answer to the question. What is so wrong about asking whether there are a lot of attractive females in a certain locale?
