Regent. So much Regent. And Cincinnati. And Tulsa and Drexel. Probably my favorite was Regent followed a minute later by an email from Emory talking about their LGBT group.

So much Regent. And Liberty. It was awful living in VA while applying to school because I'd get a new one from Regent and Liberty every goddamn day. Being an atheist and wanting to get out of VA, it made it even more annoying.justicefishy wrote:Regent. So much Regent. And Cincinnati. And Tulsa and Drexel. John Marshall sent me one that started off strong:
"Dear «First_Name_Applicant»"
I can't take you seriously if you can't even get your emails formatted.

Re: Obnoxious Law School adverts
Anybody else noticed they've kicked it up a notch this week? I'm getting fee waivers to Columbia, plane rides to Savannah, full scholarships to Mercer...
Why would they get so aggressive when the deadline has pretty much passed? Why would they want an application thrown together at the last minute? To add to their rejection pile, I guess.

Today's the deadline. They want to get as many apps in as possible so they can reject them to look more exclusive.sarahmargie wrote:Anybody else noticed they've kicked it up a notch this week? I'm getting fee waivers to Columbia, plane rides to Savannah, full scholarships to Mercer...

I got one from a school in Miami today. We threw away the application but kept some of the pictures as refrigerator art.

Today, for the first time in, well, ever, I got more things from law schools I'm into than TTTs trying to get me to apply. I'm sort of shocked to be honest

That's actually so painfully bad it's good, which is hard to do. Like early episodes of The Office that were painfully awkward but hilarious.YankeeFan2 wrote:The University of Maine. The subject line is "Lobstahs and Law School" -- note the spelling error with the attempt to sound like an accent!
Yeah, with all of your free time you could check your lobster traps!

splitbrain- I think the intent is that you'll put the money down before you realize you're not getting an online degree from Boalt.

How has this thread gotten to four pages without any mention of Lewis and Clark's bimonthly mailing of their viewbook? Please tell me they are still doing that for this cycle. I hope it has pictures of trees. Lewis and Clark loves pictures of trees.

Re: Obnoxious Law School adverts
Got one from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones school of law today. It's a humdinger.
It's this bright purple folder complete with a lot of fancy photos, heavy cardstock containing a lot of information about their admissions (but not their medians or LSAC data of course!) and, surprise surprise, a cruddy DVD.
This thing is bad. Me and my girlfriend spent about 30 minutes watching it, and we want our time back.

Is it just me or does Nicole Schumer from Florida Coastal have at least three different e-mail addresses? I've marked her as spam twice already but I look in my inbox and here she is again talking about "limited space." I'm about ready to set FC's entire campus on fire, I'm so tired of them.

In one day, an email from Regent AND a postcard. They were exactly the same. The email was just a PDF of the postcard. Oh, the content of them was that "Regent is the fifth most popular law school." With who?
