I work in recruiting / HR. Admittedly, this is different than law school admissions, but let me tell you this - when I have candidates who list their high school on their resume, I immediately think substantially less about them. It just shouts to the world that they have no real understanding of what's important. We all knew that guy in undergrad who still wore his highschool letter jacket. Do not be the resume equivalent to that.

The only possible exception to this is (as a previous poster suggested) is something like Eagle Scout or maybe valedictorian. But really, come on... Don't be that guy.

Everyone is arguing over whether it should go on the resume. The bigger question is such: how the hell haven't you gotten enough worthwhile stuff to fill your resume since graduating and thus render this discussion moot?

Don't put your high school on your resume, as others have already stated. I did put down that I won a National Merit Scholarship, even though it was from high school, and that didn't seem to hurt, so I think in some cases scholarships from that time period are acceptable.

Sure, but in that situation, you'd list it under your UG part

I did too, but that is a scholarship for college, not one for high school. That is the difference.

Some, although they strongly prefer it if you have a masters or PhD for Physics. I have a number of Physics buddies, and they learned a lot of the same things us EEs did. I think they are hired more often than Bio undergrads (which are hardly ever hired) and maybe IEs are, but not as often as EEs and CSs.

Prolly not for prosecution. I've seen physics/life sci majors hired a bit into litigation positions, or to do regulatory work. My impression is that a higher degree is favored strongly, though.
