Sorry it took me so long to respond, never thought i'd create such a wave, so didn't think to check back sooner. Well, I will admit first that to some it may seem like resume fluffing, but there are no lies involved. I was completely honest, but I presented myself in the most attractive way possible - as is customary when one drafts a resume.
And no, it's not Mark Kay, but it was work done with another network marketing company.
Notice I never said 500+ employees, I said a "workforce" of that many ... I started recruting people for my home based business while I was in grad school and working 2 part time jobs, and I hustled it really hard and it blew up into a phenominal success in a few short months. I was promoted to executive director in the company, and because of my fast/steady success - I was invited to speak at the companies annual convention - which was in Atlanta in 2007. That year I also won an awar as the #6 marketing executive in the world for the company, and was given a trip to Tahiti (Bora Bora) as an award ... another soft

. They flew me to Idaho and svereal other areas to do tranins and seminars as well. I wont keep you guessing about the company either -heres a link from 2007 when I was shortlisted as one of thsoe who could qualify for the President's Club award ...

Now because my business grew so fast, any my income spiraled form $8/hour to over quarter million a year in less than a year, my accountant avised me to form a corporation for taxation purpose, I therefore FOUNDED and became CEO for my company, which contunied to grow as a network marketting business. I actually peaked with close to 5000 members in my organization, but most of those were just customers, between 500 and 1000 were activley trying to refer others and earn also ... hence I had a "workforce" of over 500 team members.
Sia - I must say you raised the best point of all ... is this option still viable. The answer is no, and it is why I am looking at more career options (law ahs always been my goal). Not that the company no longer operates, they do, and I still have friends who are executive directors and doing quite well, but they have withdrawn from doing business in Jamaica, the country I built the majority of my business in (large % of my customer base), and so my organization dwildleg to a little over 1000, the amount I still get paid on today. Additionally, it's the type of business where you will keep having to refer new people to earn at the highest levels, and after a while, I just could not do it any more - I was tired of meeting new people with the sole purpose in my mind of recruintg them for a home based business. I just wanted to have dinner with my family without thinking about my next meeting or who I could sign up next. It got old for me ...
So Matthie is also 100% right on this one, I NEED a change of scenery, and to pursue my life long dream of studying the law.
If that sounds like BS to anyone, I guess it may be to you. But I certainly don't think so, and Adcon didnt either.
And yes, SaintCalerence, getting a full scholarship form a T2 with my stats as a URM is a reach - a friend of mine with 161/3.84 got accepted to the same school that offered me the full scholy, but she got no money, and she only got in from the waitlist. So I think the experience has some bearing, otherwise she would have gotten the schooly over me any day. I also know of others with similar numbers to mine who did not get in at all.
I'm not saying that this was the only factor, but seems to me it played a roll.
