Except no one in this thread has claimed that those two characters are role models for real lawyers.

Nony's a dude? But yeah, my snark was less directed at you than PDaddy or whoever.

Gideon's Army. If you can only watch one legal movie that should be it.

I'd like to add Fracture. Every minute that passed after the first, well, minute, it became more and more predictable, but nonetheless entertaining.

I would recommend it to no one.
It has its moments, but it's very slowly paced. Then, of course, they made the tv series stretching it out even further.

Michael Clayton is one of the greatest legal movies of all time. I mean come on, George Clooney gets car bombed in the first five minutes? Getting car bombed is like one of by biggest dreams. Getting car bombed means you made it in life.

Mom I made it.

I liked The Paper Chase, but for non law-school people it is not as interesting. I sat through the movie and loved it, while my brother and father stopped watching 40 minutes into it.

I watch Suits - great show.

The Firm was entertaining.

The Lincoln Lawyer was also very entertaining.

A Civil Action is a great book. Being a 0L, it definitely taught me quite a bit about what attorneys actually do and how strenuous their jobs can be. I read the book last summer, and I had a significant leg up on my classmates in my Corporate Regulations and Responsibilities course because of it.
