JO, I've seen you express this quite a bit, but do you want to elaborate on "dumb gamble" a little more? This sentiment surprises me coming from a poker player. You went somewhere where you had a semi decent chance at landing a good job through OCI. And if that wouldn't have panned out you could have walked away after a year and a half with what, 20-25k in debt and gone back to doing what you were doing before? The potential for literally millions more in earnings over a lifetime for that amount of money seems like a pretty reasonable bet to me.JazzOne wrote:I don't regret it, but I nearly struck out at OCI, and I would have regretted LS very much if OCI hadn't panned out for me. In retrospect, law school was a pretty dumb gamble. I got a full scholarship, and it was still a dumb gamble.

No, because my school is the reason I have a summer job as of Jan 10th.

Law school doesn't have to be a 3 year commitment. Everyone knows you need to do well to have any shot at an enjoyable job, so if you fuck up just drop out. If I was below median at my T2 right now, I wouldn't be finishing the year out. It may not make a ton of financial sense to do this, but if you really have the desire to be a lawyer, then give it a shot. If you do well then great, but if you fuck up just swallow your pride and peace out.
FWIW, I need to bump my class rank by about 15% to make LR.

Well, you seriously necro'd the thread, but it's a valid question.manofjustice wrote:I don't get how that works.northwood wrote:there is, but i accidentally posted something that i would rather not post on a general forum, and rather than put delete or just a . i decided to put tagged.
Up near the top-right corner of your screen, there are some links that say "View new posts" and "View your bookmarks, subscriptions or posts". Clicking on the "posts" link brings up a list of all the threads you've posted in. So adding a "tagged" post to a thread gets the thread into your "posts" list, making it easy to get back to it.
As mentioned earlier, you can also "subscribe" to a thread, but that puts the thread in a different list that you have to check separately from your "posts" list. I pretty much only use "subscribe" for threads I'm interested in but not supposed to post in, since I'm a 0L.

Are you kidding me MoJ? This thread is two and a half years old. You bumped it to ask how to tag a thread?

What? This makes no sense at all.BarbellDreams wrote:If anything I regret taking on undergrad debt which basically put me in a corner with law school. If undergrad debt was not in the picture I would have taken a TTT in a market I liked and a near fullride over my current T2 with barely any $.
