Nope - if you caught senioritis, you would not do any of it. I diagnose you with workoholism. It can be a destructive desease in terms of personal relationships, but it otherwise is very practical.pamcasso wrote:i have too much schoolwork to have time for senioritis

I am definitely suffering from post-workoholism withdrawal and senioritis simultaneously. A part of me WANTS to finish strong in my last semester of college, but the other part tells me keep on youtubing during class and play late night ping pong instead of doing homework.
[edit]
okay, that ping pong part did NOT sound cool

Re: Senioritis - Has anybody caught it?
I ED'd to UCLA and got in last semester. This semester, I'm taking two classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and my first class of the week starts at 2:45PM on Tuesday. My senior thesis is a mess and my professor might murder me, and I would oh so like to drop mock trial in a heart beat.swc65 wrote:OMG I love this thread. I have been so embarrassed about how lazy I feel. I only have three classes. Two on Tues and Thurs. and the third is an independent studay. I have no class five days a week! Somehow, I still cannot find the "time" to get my work done!!!
It is so weird. i have never felt like this before, but I am already in at my top choice law school, I have above a 4.0 at my current school, and so many new video games have just been released!!!
I'm pretty sure all my friends this semester are light-loading this semester with two classes and some form of independent study/thesis work - it's absurd how lazy I've become this semester haha.

I'm TLSing while I should be studying.... I would say that I had senioritis, but the thing is that that's how I've been since my freshman year... so I dunno... I just got lazy.

Re: Senioritis - Has anybody caught it?
Worst Case:
I need 6 courses to graduate. I was registered for all 6 - 4 finance, 1 management, 1 marketing. I almost never go to class because I've got a 3.55 in my major and I get finance. I was dropped from my marketing class on Friday (arguably the easiest of all my classes). Two options now: make up an excuse and beg the teacher to reinstate me through a late add ($45 fee) or, if that doesn't work out, take it during the summer (~$1,000). I suck. My laziness has made me waste so much money over the years. I literally hemorrage money.

I, too, have end-of-workitis and I have every intention of using all of my sick time over the next few months to help alleviate the illness.Lermontov wrote:Definitely this. End-of-contract-itis?ogman05 wrote:I have whatever the version would be for the workplace.

e: having an expiration date on your employment is really bad for work ethic... but then I occasionally think about getting fired before I choose to leave, and that motivates me to do the minimum amount of work required to keep my job. But still, it's gotten pretty bad.ogman05 wrote:I have whatever the version would be for the workplace.

Re: Senioritis - Has anybody caught it?
I avoided the issue by graduating a semester early. Staying in town this semester to sit around, do some freelance work when I feel like it, volunteer, and train for a marathon. If it weren't for the awful weather I'd be having a fantastic time.

Re: Senioritis - Has anybody caught it?
Decided to apply for part-time student status this semester since I'm not taking any time off between UG and LS and I finished my major requirements last semester (yay for dual-enrollment in high school!). Only taking 7 credits, interning, and volunteering in a psychology lab. Even with only two classes, senioritis is still a bitch. Anyone got any good book recommendations?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
