Yeah, Chicago seems full of people who are already married or in serious relationships. Maybe the med/grad/b-school can provide those greener pastures others have spoken of...

If you study efficiently (ie: don't dick around) you should have plenty of time for outside activities.

Also, the pastures are a lot greener outside the law school anyway...

I fear that even with my 0L scheming and 1L hard work that the grading will be somewhat arbitrary.

I fear that even for someone with a specialty (IP law), the summer associate job market will be terrible.

I fear that the law will be taught in a manner that is unnecessarily verbose. I suppose this one is more of a peeve than a fear.

I fear that I'll be trapped working in the region wherever I attend law school.

I am a little scared that once I begin law school I won't have time to be a good mom.

I am also scared that I will realize my past good grades and academic achievements have been a fluke.

+1. I have literally no study skills. And now ill have to develop them while in a very intense and stressful situation. maybe the fear will help?
+10000! I procrastinated like a pro in undergrad and did well enough, and I'm doing the same in my Masters program. I keep trying to tell myself I'll stop it now to be ready by next fall, but here I am posting on TLS when I should be doing a lot of reading.

Additionally, I'm a slow reader and that has me very worried about law school.

I love my friends at college and I'm scared I won't make as many or as close friends in LS... probably irrational, but it is what it is :P

That roughly 95% of my classmates will be both hardworking and intelligent, meaning that at least 15% of the class will be in the bottom 20%, and that I will be part of that group. And when I go to the professors and ask "What caused me to do poorly in this exam?" they'll respond with "You wrote a fantastic exam and did everything that could have been expected of you. The problem is that so did everyone else, and someone has to get C-s. It was out of your hands. Keep up the good work though!"

I plan on going to law school directly after undergrad, and I fear my youth and overall lack of experience may hurt me. I'm also scared to death that the economy gets even worse, and the hiring gets even more competitive.

I'm also worried that I get rejected from everywhere I want to go, and end up at the University Of Akron or something.

I'm not fearful, but just unsure that the success that I have had at my small LAC will not translate to the next level. I'm competing against Ivy grads who have the same LSAT and GPA as me, but does that really mean I am a similarly gifted and talented student?

I'm not worried about being smart enough...I relish the challenge

The one thing I AM scared about is not liking school and LS being the wrong choice...

I am excited that I will be able to concentrate basically solely on my schoolwork instead of mixing school with work, internships, and leadership in extracurriculars. I worry, though, that I will be distracted by having so much extra time from what I'm used to and not using that to be more productive with studying and whatnot.

i'm scared of finding that any gifts and talents i had entering an ivy have been beaten out by said school, and i will no longer have the motivation to compete with classmates who were organized enough to apply to 20+ schools by november.

That I'll be the youngest and dumbest person in the entire law school, and that as a result no one will want to talk to me.

I am scared of boredom. I love the law, but many people who once loved it have grown bored by it, or even to despise it. Am I next? :?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
