Never posted much, but now that I'm leaving just figure I'd weigh in. We all know you though, don't you worry.

I said not as bad as people make it out to be... I like it here, but I can see how others wouldn't.

Still bullish on WUSTL, though they have a lot of work ahead of them. I definitely wasn't happy with the class size and "exam issues".

Meh. It's definitely a dying city. The only thing really going for it is the low COL.

Agreed. While it has everything, it's all pretty low quality. I didn't mind so much because it's cheap and not crowded at all, so for me it was a pretty laid back place to go to school.

The Arch is pretty cool (but Scott might disagree?). Way bigger than I expected.

Seems like most places have lots of low quality things. Like is QOL in like Pittsburgh or Milwaukee or whatever really any different from St Louis?

Oh the Arch was nice, and I'm kinda bummed such a cool monument was wasted basically. Much bigger and shinier than expected, and also I never would have guessed you could go up to the top.

The weirdest thing for me that the population density was so low, so even in the hip neighborhoods, restaurants and stuff are just empty at dinner a lot and things like that, so it was just kind of like living in a ghost town.

Cool, glad I'm not the only one impressed by the Arch.

I came here from L.A., so I liked the ghost town atmosphere. No stress, no traffic, no waiting for anything ever. Just not completely sold on it long-term, could get old.

Ah ok, well my problems probably stemmed more from the fact that I didn't bring a car and had to rely on metro. So constantly having to walk everywhere when the streets were dead by dark got a little uncomfortable sometimes.

I think Milwaukee is a little nicer to look at, but yeah, I'd say those cities are pretty similar. It definitely feels like it lacks in character.

Having a car is definitely nice here, if I had been more sociable I would have given you a ride. Sorry about that!

It really is all about the $. Without that, it definitely wouldn't be as relevant.

WUSTL had the most active TLS presence this year, plus I'd say half the class at least lurked given all the drama.

TLSers are fun. I met a few would be WUSTL-TLSers at the Notre Dame ASW last year. They were pretty chill and it was pretty fun.

:(

Won't most of the gunners be gone after #massexodus, though?

(I actually really like you, scotti. You were super helpful in the c/o 2018 WUSTL thread.)
I mean honestly I have no idea. When people talk of gunners leaving I can't really think of who they mean besides me and may a couple of others that come to mind. Otherwise the people I know leaving, basically my whole main friend group, were chill and sociable but had low-profiles.

As a 1L though, you really wouldn't interact much with 2Ls/3Ls much unless you sought them out.

As an 0L, I was wondering (hoping) if the WUSTL '17 was a perfect storm of all the negative stereotypes of law school coming together?

It's so weird because '15 and '16 seem chill as fuck. I was part of the '16 and '17 cycles.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
