I think even a 169 would be a great help. That puts you at Mich's median and Cornell's 75th, which hopefully means more money. At this score range, every point does a lot of good.

Does no family to stay with also mean no friends? Can you couch surf for a little while? Do you have any hook to make you employable? What is the address on your résumé right now? Are you spamming for jobs in a city you don't live in?

I'd wager you'd be better off scraping by doing retail for a year and getting a high score than going to Cornell at sticker.

You can get a higher score. The LSAT really isn't that hard. You're better off gunning hard on the LSAT and saving yourself some pain down the road.

If your PTs are still averaging around 168, Cornell I'd go, too.
