At OU yes. He may have had some help via parents but not a substantial amount.RELIC wrote:So his tuition for one year and living expenses for two years were less than 20K?wannabelawstudent wrote:Why would he have to work during ug when his tuition and living expenses were paid for. My total yearly tuition and fees in UG were about $7,500. That would be $30k for full 4-yr, but in my state if you start college at 16 the first two years are free. Thus, I only paid ~$15k in tuition and fees. (I didn't actually pay this thanks to FTA, but that's how much it would have been.)
I worked full-time to cover COL.

because it isn't funded by tax dollars. it's essentially private, and public in name only by being associated with the university

14K in subsidized loans. Graduated with 44K in debt, paid off 30K of it in about 9 months. Now im just paying the minimum on the subsidized loan and banking the rest for law school in the fall.

That's cool. I wish all states had that.florida1949 wrote: I think mine was ~3.5k, but the state of Florida gives a full ride (at any in-state public school) to anyone who scores above a 1270 SAT and does X (100?) hours of community service in high school
I'm sure other states have similar programs

It's just to help build his credit and open them up to the benefits of PAYE/IBR if he doesn't make money. They'll probably make the payments for him when the time comes.ragelion wrote:If they loved you they wouldn't let you take out GRADPLUS loans.laxbrah420 wrote:nothing, as my parents love me.
