Thought if I were you, I'd go to the Loyola Patent Fair anyway. It's free interviews, and who knows, you might get something. But I'd save target firms for on campus. Also at NU, the IP boutiques are super easy to get interviews with. Put them spots 30+ on your bid list (where you aren't going to get any firm in a major city) and you'll get more interviews.

Does NU publish a list of open OCI slots after bidding? Penn does and most IP required slots are free to sign up. So there is no reason to spend top bids on them. If you can get your hands on the list and look at past data you can decide how high you want to put them on the bid list.

I think the Loyola Fair gives me access to most of the IP firms that I don't have access to through our OCI. I will probably just build a general lit bid list at OCI. I guess depending on what I get from the Loyola, I can change my OCI bid list to make sure max coverage.

You can open sign up, but only 2 in day. I got like 4 firms that way. But, over 30 on your bid list is really only going to lead to an interview a firm in a small market. So you aren't really wasting a bid. At least at NU.
