Or just spend $100 on windows and install with boot camp.

The default Mac OS is easy to use, but its MS Office programs really blow. This is one reason I installed windows on my mac.

What don't you like about Office for Mac? I have 2011, and I haven't run into any problems besides not being able to use integrated data analysis in Excel, but I just used statplus and it was fine.

I don't use Alfred so I can't help you there, but BetterSnapTool is for resizing your windows you have open more quickly. Say you want to have a word doc and a website open side by side, just drag the word doc all the way to the left until your mouse "hits" the left edge of the screen, and vice versa for the other window. Drag a window till it hits the top edge of the screen to make it take up the full screen, etc. Very, very useful, I'm surprised Apple didn't include it in the OS.

You don't have to go through all of that to connect to Wifi on a pc.

It's honestly funny to me that there is some weird contest between Mac and PC users. Unless someone has stock in Microsoft or Apple, why does it matter? Lol. But I do use a Mac. My girlfriend has a PC. If I need to use her computer my life does not end, and she prefers to use mine. FWIW. But, basically, if you've ever used a computer (which I'm sure you have) "learning" to use a Mac is not difficult. It's still basically the same thing.

About the off-topic topic: Are Macs worth the money? Probably not, if you sit down and break it all down. But I don't know anyone who regretted buying a Mac. The bottom line in the debate is not buying something you don't like/can't afford. Since OP already has one, the answer is simply: You'll get used to it. Questions? Youtube. Those courses are for people who have never used a computer before. They'll tell you all about Mail and Safari and how you can "e-mail" and "use the internet" with your new computer! Whoa!

I love my Mac. Though, I haven't used a high-end PC.

I imagine they meant from a security standpoint, but if the settings are set correctly then VBA is very useful. BTW, Office 2011 added back in support for VBA.

You usually have to know what you're doing to enable macros. VBA doesn't pose much of a security threat.
