I cant believe anyone would advise you to go to Loyola chicago at sticker. With living expenses thats almost 200k worth of debt. do people realize how much money that is?? I don't think Yale would even be worth that much. And especially if you want to end up in Alaska! what's market salary in alaska? 60k if you're lucky maybe? with 180k of debt that isn't too comforting

I was just thinking about this. No debt is especially the way to go unless attorneys make way more than I would expect. If Alaska's anything like a rural/low density market in the Continental US, the very best jobs are only likely to pay 70-80k. If, on the other hand, attorneys are rare as hell in Alaska and command the bucks because of it, maybe it's a different story, but I really think cheap is the way to go here.

Without a doubt no debt. Especially given your circumstances. I'm envious, congrats!

Great point, but when compared to 150k, living expenses for three years seems like no debt.

As for the rest of the comments, thanks. I'm going to painfully scratch Loyola-Chicago off the list. God help us all!

First see if they will offer any money and if you can negotiate any money out of them with the other scholarships (though it doesn't seem likely since it's a complete different area).

Comparatively it seems like it's very little debt. However, if you get out of a school with little in the way of job prospects, that $40k-$60k isn't insignificant.
