I wouldn't. Chicago mostly because I'd like to continue my streak of not getting shot, though.paul_m86 wrote:sound a little bitter......mrloblaw wrote:It's so hard to discern which when those are the two schools most known for attracting insufferable pricks . . .vanwinkle wrote:He's an insufferable prick, but an insufferable prick that actually goes to one of CC.
Don't act like you wouldn't jump at a chance to attend Columbia or Chicago.

Lol at getting shot at Columbia. I know it's near some neighborhoods that used to be seedy, but come on.mrloblaw wrote:I wouldn't. Durr, my bad. It wasn't the clearest statement, but if I wasn't finals-addled I would have (and should have) figured it out.mrloblaw wrote:Which is why I said "Chicago."BeenDidThat wrote:

The possibility that you will end up subsidizing the legal educations of PI students is part of what you purchase with your law school tuition. It's perfectly clear that's part of the package ex ante, so you have no reason to complain about it after the fact.

Re: Are successful/smart/hardworking students subsidizing others
There are a good amount of successful law students that choose public interest b/c of personal convictions. Public Interest is a difficult and uncertain path, especially in today's economy. These ppl wouldn't have the realistic option of choosing a PI career if there wasn't LRAP. Your argument is hyperbolic at best. Most public interest jobs are important jobs that need to be done. LRAP isn't some freeloader's dream--it's a opportunity live modestly, doing good work, without drowning in debt.
