I wanted to be a lawyer.
Sad, I know. But if I don't get in I can always go with the backup plan: hobo.

I did that first, it wasn't all it's cracked up to be so I am now going with my backup plan of being a lawyer.splay wrote:I wanted to be a lawyer.

I wanted to be a journalist for the longest time. I even went to journalism camps. Plural.

There are camps? Apparently I missed out on some quality fun when training to be a journalist.MissCongeniality wrote:I wanted to be a journalist for the longest time. I even went to journalism camps. Plural.

LOL for no reason other than stupidity and a smidge of dyslexia, everytime I read that I think, "What the hell is "money-ing?" LOL i know..joshlyman wrote:im going to law school, but all I really wanted to do was SSSSSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
And, I really wanna be a big-screen actor and later turned producer... yep.. OR just Vincent Chase from Entourage. That'd be good too unless his career turns to crap again or he contracts syphilis in season 7....

Yes, indeed! One was in D.C., the other in NorCal. But I later became a traitor and went into PR instead.pearl_earrings wrote:There are camps? I really do want to be a lawyer. Being a law professor or other academic would be fun for a while, but I'm afraid it would get old fast- and the tenure ordeal is off-putting enough for me to perish that thought.

It varied. At first I wanted to work in genetic engineering, then I wanted to be a film director/screenwriter, and now I'd like to be an international man of business/forcetobereckonedwith

My mom actually was an astronaut. She went up four times. It's one of those rare jobs that's totally as fucking cool as you imagine it would be.
I realized quickly when I was young that me + math = fail, but that was okay, because my backup plan was to somehow morph into Sassy from Homeward Bound. Still working on that.

Own and run a vineyard in CA. Maybe my law career will finance that retirement purchase...

The President (of South Korea, that is). Of course, that dream still lives as my J.D. will be a boost.

AHHHHHH!!! Awesome!thorntll wrote:My mom actually was an astronaut. She went up four times. It's one of those rare jobs that's totally as fucking cool as you imagine it would be.
My grandfather was a NASA engineer, and I've always thought that was awesome, but your mom takes the cake!
EDIT: Man, I can't believe how awesome that is. There have only ever been 55 female astronauts EVER (which also means I think I have a pretty good idea of who your mother is - trying not to be creepy ><). Anyway, she's a hero and I should probably stop writing now!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
