I think the girlfriend is more efficient on the whole actually. Relationships are more work to maintain, but on the flip side you can do a lot of it concurrently. A girlfriend who's time commitments aren't as demanding as yours can definitely improve time efficiency if she will do things for you like prepare meals, clean and do your laundry.
