I've always wanted to be a screenwriter. Pretty hard to break in when you live in Maryland, though. I'm straight outta UG and just decided to take a few years off before LS to make sure I really want to do it, so maybe I'll actually pursue this dream. Anybody know any CAA agents?? haha

Three careers I would love to have. Vinter (think Sparky Marquis), Automotive Journalist (think Ezra Dyer), Wine Reviewer (think Robert Parker.) When I was a little kid I wanted to be the next Domingo at the opera house. Then puberty kicked in and now I sound like George McFly from back to the future. In a cloud of smoke my tenor dreams went up as my balls came down.

SCOTUS/9th Cir. Justice/judge or Stanford Law professor
I'm a nerd, I know ><
Edit: However, when I was a little kid, I wanted to be a pastry chef because I thought I'd be able to eat most of what I made.

Open my own fast-food joint, like a five guys. Be an admissions counselor at my UG. Own a dance studio.

Unfortunately, I also have almost completely lost my sweet tooth over the years...

If I could start my life over from my first year in college, I'd probably be a geologist.

My SO is an admissions counselor. It can be fun, but you spend the bulk of your time answering questions like "Have I been accepted [at your school] before?" (completely serious, happened the other day) and "How do I apply?" (Go to commonapp.org) "...can you spell that?"Cupidity wrote:Open my own fast-food joint, like a five guys. Edit: mind you, this is [HYPS} that these people are applying to...

1) NBA star. At 14, I wanted to be like Mike. Now I want to be like Mike's lawyer!
2) Hollywood movie star. At 22, I wanted to be like Will Smith. Now I want to be like Will Smith's lawyer.
3) Musician/Singer (and movie star). At 25, I wanted to be like Usher. Now I want to be like Usher's lawyer.

1.) FBI agent. I came mighty close too (Honors Intern acceptance), until the background check. They don't seem to look kindly on applicants with criminal family members though. I understood their concerns, but they didn't feel fair at the time.
2.) Pilot. Colorblindness ended that one pretty quickly.

I worked on the beach patrol in Hilton Head Island, SC. Lifeguarding is the best job in the world except it pays shit.

Author. Also, urban planner, although I may still sort of back-door into a similar career through environmental law. And I suppose writing is always an open option, although I'm no nearly as good at the actual creative writing part as I'd like to be. (I'm more into the big-picture plot and setting design.)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
