What's up fellow Lawhoos!
Let's make it a great three years! If anybody has a decent poll idea shoot it my way.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Congrats on getting into UVA!
I'm a 2L and looking to sublease my apartment (girls only please) for Fall 2017. I'm doing an away externship that semester, but I might also be open to getting rid of my lease entirely for the whole year Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. The apartment is at the Pavilion for $905 per month, including cable, internet, water. Laundry is inside the unit as well, and everything's furnished. You get your own bedroom and bathroom, but will have one awesome roommate. Please message me if you have any questions or would like more details! I'm also down to answer any unrelated questions you may have about UVA Law too
Thanks.

I'll (probably) be moving from San Francisco and paying $500 a month for rent is so beautiful it makes me want to cry.

Hi everyone! I haven't sent in my commitment form yet - waiting to hear from my last couple schools to get that sweet sweet closure, and I still need news re: my aid package - but I'm almost certainly going to UVA. I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my whole life, so I'm very excited for this massive change!
I was admitted very early, mid-October. Has anyone heard news regarding their aid packages yet?

Same! One of the reasons I picked UVA was the low COL, and 500 a month for a furnished 2-bedroom that's a three minute walk from the law school is about as good as it gets.
PM me if you're interested in being roomies!

I am.
Figure I might as well meet and hang out with as many folks as possible during those two days. That said, I won't hesitate to bail if things are poorly attended or people are giving off an anti-social vibe. (Seriously doubt that'll be an issue as most UVa-types tend to be laid back, chill dudes and dudettes.)

I just registered also. Anyone know where most admitted students stay? Is there a hotel that's cheap/convenient/close to the law school?

If we can't make the admitted students weekend, do you think we can get a good sense of the school otherwise? I am going to try my hardest to go but there are a couple of events out of my control that fall that weekend that make things difficult.

If you let the Admissions people know beforehand, they'll set up student run tours and arrange for you to sit in on classes. I think the main difference with ASW is that you get to meet your future peers. I'm sure you'll get the feel of the school just fine by going another time

Would also be curious for this. Planning on booking flights / rentals / hotels this week.
There is a link to the accommodations page on the admitted students' website and it gives a list of nearby hotels:
http://www.law.virginia.edu/html/inside ... hotels.htm
I'm also looking on hotels.com and tripadvisor to compare hotels and there are a lot of options from $80ish+!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
