Re: Columbia Class of 2020
Does anyone know what the bed sizes are for law school housing? (assuming it's furnished)
Twin? Twin XL?
I'm assuming we need to bring our own sheets/comforters?

This thread is the blind leading the blind. I would try asking in the "Columbia students taking questions" thread.

Beds in furnished apartments are Twin XL but many people just dissemble their bed and bring their own. I recommend asking housing about your specific apartment building
I don't recall any classes meeting on Fridays except for TA session, LPW sections during the fall semester (Legal Methods is 5 days a week). Most classes don't meet on Friday during the spring except for Moglen's class (which I believe is on purpose). Moglen is...you'll see soon enough

Re: Columbia Class of 2020
Just to add to the answer above, some TA sessions and some LPW sections meet on Fridays depending on the schedule and availability of the section members and the instructors (most LPW instructors are also full-time practitioners themselves). A select handful of classes, including Moglen's 1L class and also I believe some seminar and clinic-type classes that are taught by people who aren't full-time professors, also meet on Fridays. I don't believe that any of the regularly-scheduled 1L black letter classes are scheduled on Fridays. Many to most 1Ls have no class obligations on Fridays for at least one and usually both semesters.lawdude31 wrote:Thishoyasaxa13 wrote:Does anyone know what the deal is for classes on fridays?

Moved in today
Lmk if any TLS'ers have moved in/wanna meet up
We really should get a TLS meet up going similar to the one we had on orientation
Also, if anyone doesn't know, there's a pre-orientation event on August 5th. Shoot me a PM if you want me to link you/invite you.

Looked at my furnished UAH apartment for the first time today. The bed was already dissembled but the maintenance guys said there's no storage if I wanted to bring my own bed. Do you know what people normally do with the school's bed if they bring their own? Feel like I might just have to grease the wheels a little bit and slip the super a 20 or something.packer_22 wrote:Beds in furnished apartments are Twin XL but many people just dissemble their bed and bring their own. Did anybody hear from Law Review today? Their website says week of June 25 for calls, but the Journal Handbook says that they were supposed to call today.

Others on this site have said yes, so assume if you didn't get a call you didn't make it :/amyl wrote:Did anybody hear from Law Review today? Their website says week of June 25 for calls, but the Journal Handbook says that they were supposed to call today.

Thank God. I did not want to do 20+ hours of bluebooking work a week. I really only wanted to know so I could start figuring out end-of-summer travel plans.SpikeSeagull wrote:Others on this site have said yes, so assume if you didn't get a call you didn't make it :/amyl wrote:Did anybody hear from Law Review today?
