Yes, they're terrible, but in this new age where media consumption is on an "all you can eat" basis, the cost of media is only the opportunity cost to watch. In that situation I think there are ample situations where a dumb fun action movie with a terrible plot is the ideal pick.

Oddly enough, I think F&F got better as it embraced how terrible it is. It followed the same spiral into insanity, but only really got watchable after it jumped the shark
