I feel like there's always a high number of people who enter with PI aspirations until the prospects of going through a 3 year degree to make so little with loan repayment programs as a bright side hit them like brick wall.

Personally I think I want appellate level litigation (I'll settle for a liberal Big Law firm at this point)

Clerkship --> Big Law Litigation --> Impact Litigation/Gov/Policy (basically kind PI with a focus on Education Policy). Not sure yet how feasible that will be but we'll see.

- Stop subjecting my family to extended separations due to my job forcing me to live in shithole countries for months/years at a time.
- Stop demanding my family move every 2-3 years in perpetuity due to my work.
- Be able to make six-figures--with upside--in one, single, stable, coastal (not Nebrahoma or Bamasippi) metro area we're allowed to live in/put roots down in for a decade or two at a time
- Substantive, mentally engaging work in a career field that "only" asks effort from me from 8AM-11PM Monday-Saturday instead of 24/7/365 (<--- fuck that noise in its face anymore)
