I am not super familiar with the area, but my impression is that we're not going to have a good time trying to find a place to sit around and talk in the area - it always just seems so crowded. a stop or two north might be easier?

Is everyone going to the musical friday night? I am probably not.
I was gonna go to the musical actually lol...sounds like fun! Maybe we can coordinate on Friday? We can find a bar somewhere up north. Would love to meet you all!
There are plenty of fine establishments a short Uber ride away that we could plan to get together at after the musical, especially in the River North area.
Perf. So maybe we can plan to meet up outside musical place and head over to a nice bar and get turnt?
Sounds like a perfect plan to me
Yay! Sounds like fun.
Wait....I'm totally skipping Friday dinner and show, someone pm me where you guys decide to go!

Just sent NU a scholarship negotiation email. Hope they reconsider!

Why are you skipping a free dinner?

I am also skipping the show, though, and if no one wants to go out then I'm going home. Who wants to meet for a drink around 7p?

I'm thinking I'll do the same tonight. Did you just send a standard negotiation email? AFAIK they've had a negotiation form in past years so I was wondering if they'll have it again this year.

I'd be down for this, pretty sure I'll go to dinner but doubt I'll attend the show.

I am skipping because my uncle has a charity dinner/reception (plus its a chance to see my family). If I didn't know anybody in town I would definitely go though!

I'm wondering if it would be a better idea to wait until Monday after showing up and showing interest at the ASW. Thoughts?

This seems like it makes a lot of sense, I guess I might as well just wait the few extra days and send it as soon as I get back from ASW. Good call!

I think this is reasonable esp if you can get some face time with admissions during your visit and then reinforce that in your negotiation email.

Yeah, that could help. I mentioned that I was attending ASW and that I looked forward to seeing the school.

I googled it and I just don't want to go. I'm sure its enjoyable enough, but after being at the school all day I'm either going home or going drinking.

I'm sure it's good, but there will definitely be a lot of inside jokes that'll go over the heads of 0Ls and people who don't currently attend NU Law.
