Since we're here...
What is a the fiscal system of the Star Wars confederation? is it a central bank? It seems like the council has quite a bit of oversight so is there a central monetary policy?

The currency is "credits" but I have no idea about the system. I don't really think it's ever clearly established in-universe, not even in the EU (at least from what I remember).Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Since we're here...

But I did find this very amusing while googling it:
Wookieepedia wrote:One such merchant that was wary of the value of credits was Watto, who refused Qui-Gon Jinn's offer of 20,000 credits in exchange for a T-14 hyperdrive generator.

Good thing he refused, that T-14 isn't worth much anymore in this new T-13 world.

By the way am I the only one who hated the new Star Wars movie? I liked Rogue One much better than The Force Awakens.
How the hell is it that in TFA she uses a Jedi mind trick with no training AT ALL? Didn't it take Jedi Masters many years to be able to do that? Load of bull...
Also you would think Kylo, having that lightsaber for some time, would have been able to wield it effectively against someone who has never used one before.

I liked them both! I think she was just supposed to be like a Jedi savant, though, right?Thelaw23 wrote:By the way am I the only one who hated the new Star Wars movie? I liked Rogue One much better than The Force Awakens.

I don't really care for TFA, though I did think Rey was one of the few redeeming parts of the movie. Just way too derivative off ANH. The whole Star Killer Base finale lacked any of the "oomph" of either Death Star battle. Maz Kanata's palace was a lamer take on Mos Eisley/Jabba's palace. I think Rey is just being set up as the one who will bring balance to the Force or something, some uniquely gifted Jedi.Thelaw23 wrote:By the way am I the only one who hated the new Star Wars movie? Rogue One was basically the Star Wars movie I've been wanting to watch for over 15 years though, so I'm generally happy with the state of the movie franchise right now. I have high hopes for Rian Johnson's turn.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
