For those who have sent in reconsideration requests via email after receiving their initial offer, have you received a response of any sort?

This is a pretty inconsequential question, but do y'all know where to get CLS merch? I couldn't make it to any of the ASWs, and aside from an alumni hat I couldn't find anything online. I'd like to have a Columbia Law shirt when it's time to inevitably post the FB status flexing about what I'm doing with my life. Again, there are definitely more pressing questions out there, but if anyone knows let me know

Good luck bruh, because the only Columbia Law apparel you will find is some ehh CLS t shirts in either gray or dark blue in the bookstore. The CLS gray hoodie that's online is on backorder and they're not sure when they will get it.

Yeah but they should have the capability of informing you sooner than that about a required document.

The number one complaint I received from students during the ASP was how the administration is slow and behind the times. They said everything gets done, just a month later than you would want.

That tells us to want everything one month earlier than usual at CLS.

i sent a reconsideration request with substantially higher offers from NYU and Chicago and they responded a few days later that after a second review they would not be changing their scholarship offer

Kinda weird that I even have to ask this, but for those who've enrolled so far, did you receive any notification when you put down your deposit aside from the payment confirmation? I guess I was expecting like a "welcome to CLS" email or something.

First scholarship notification says I got nothing (via mail) it was sent before I sent them my other offers though. Do I email them/call them again to say that I received the first and would like to be reconsidered?

I called last week to check on my file and was told it was complete, and that my decision would be sent out at the beginning of this week. They even said it would be emailed to me.

Just got an email... saying they still need a random tax form from one of my parents.

Was it for the noncustodial parent? So annoying. CLS is the only school I applied to that cares about this.

So if I haven't heard back definitively about scholarship reconsideration by Friday the 28th, I'll call C admissions and ask for a one-week extension. I'm not giving two schools deposits because of bureaucratic snafus. Don't spend your money like that. That's absurd.

I am in the same boat in that I received $, but I have already submitted my NYU and UChi offers. However, I was under the impression that the deadline to accept all NYU scholarships and state your intention to enroll is this Friday, 4/21. So I'm not sure how you havnt heard from NYU? Does that mean you'll have a later deadline, like 4/1?

Edit: And if not, what good will NYU's offer be as leverage if its already void because of the missed deadline?

That deadline probably applies to folks who got awards earlier. Maybe they reallocate the funds not claimed by your deadline, rolling them over into a new pool of funds from which they offer money to folks like me. Maybe that's why I haven't gotten my award yet.

Ya this was my first thought too. Very possible. While it's nice to know my award already, it would also be nice to have a later deposit deadline haha. So for that I'm envious. Anyways, good luck.

I stayed on the Harvard WL, but just out of curiosity mostly. Yale's WL on the other hand, I'm in it to win it.

In any event, I'm perfectly satisfied with CLS.

I'm perfectly satisfied with CLS too, but if Harvard comes knocking, I'd have to take it unless I got literally a full ride at Columbia and less than half-off from Harvard.
