Anyone have a schedule for ASD this Friday? Couldn't find it on the site or in my RSVP e-mails.

Also, general question for Austinites and UT students: since Uber/Lyft left Austin, is there another comparable service operating in Austin? Or will it be taxis/hoofing it this weekend?

When I was in Austin last year we used Ride Austin. Seemed very comparable to Uber/Lyft.

I am worried mainly becuase I would need scholarship to attend (offer from a T10, but financial concerns are my biggest factor in choosing a school) and I worried getting in late, if I ever got in, would mean not enough money for me...Thank you everyone!
Did you already write a Why Texas? If not, that might be a way to add a little something to your application.

I submitted late-November and only heard back a couple weeks ago, if that makes you feel better.
I didn't. I took some 1L advice to wait until waitlisted before write a why essay...but I think I should! Maybe just a short one to remind the AO of my existence.

Do you hear about scholarship along with the acceptance?

I'll be there as well.
Any word on scholarship info for you? I'm hoping they'll give you a lot!

Fasten works pretty well too.

I'd recommend Fasten. Decent app and price.

I couldn't find a master schedule, so I went back to the RSVP link and took a screen shot.

Got my scholarship offer but it's REAL low. Looking at others Texas applicants I'm not surprised it's what I got, but fuck it's going to be a lot of loans to attend.

Going to have to start the negotiation process ASAP and hope people start withdrawing to free up money.

I just got an e-mail with the official itinerary, so clearly Sam Riley reads these boards. :P

Guess I'll be reading the case on the plane tomorrow.

Damn that sucks. Are you a tx resident?

I get that UT is a cheaper school, even at sticker price it's cheaper than a lot of t14s with scholarships, but 150k in loans is no joke.

Do y'all know if the $$$ numbers on LSN include Non-Resident Tuition Exemptions or not? Trying to compare against similar other applicants with similar stats but really can't tell whether or not folks included them...

EDIT: Answer my own question by obsessively going through each and every person's profile to read any notes that were written. Answer: it depends. Lawyered.

After spending a day in Austin, I can confirm the traffic is as bad as people on here say it is. Pretty surprised actually, it's up there with all but the worst California traffic.

Hoover's was great though.

Anyone attending any of the events tomorrow?

what's nonresident tuition exemption? Does that mean u pay instate? So UT would be 70k in total for tuition?

Just got an email from a current student at UT stating, "UT’s scholarship matching program" makes UT financially competitive. I'm not sure if they were mistaken or what, but I've never heard of them having a matching program.
