Anyone who applied for merit/finaid several weeks ago still waiting? I have a deposit deadline coming soon and I really need to know at this point.

In the same situation. At ASD this past Friday, the financial aid director said that if you submitted your info 2+ weeks ago, you should get a decision either today or tomorrow. So I've been maniacally checking my email every five minutes today.

So uh...what's the appeal process look like?

Also, NYU, the last time you updated your financial aid application platform, George W. Bush was taking watercolor classes in the Oval Office. At least make your rejection letter Chrome-compatible.

I just received an email that I'm invited to the IILJ Joyce Lowinson Admitted Student Days :D ! Anyone else? Also does anyone have any information on what to expect, beyond what is stated in the email? Thanks!

You email them saying you want to appeal, then they activate a tab in the financial aid app. It just has a text field for you to explain your situation and then a way to upload supporting materials.

Did you get a sense of when they'd let you know about getting the scholarship or not? I'm also a finalist but can't tell when we'll know...
For that matter, has anyone who interviewed for any of the scholarship programs this weekend heard anything?

absolutely, a major appeal of NYU is that i can keep my gorgeous South Williamsburg apartment i've lived in for the past 3 years.

Is anyone else having technical problems with their financial aid award? Got an email telling me to log in yesterday but every time I try I get an error about "flexclient" being in a session already

Their system is crazy bad... I had intermittent luck using it on Firefox.

Oh nice -- North Williamsburg here. We will be happy as clams --- until the L shuts down and then I'm going to curse every day at the MTA.

Has anyone appealed their scholarship and heard back, by chance? The responded to mine saying they'd begin reviewing in April -- just curious if they've started :)

What kind of information are you guys using to appeal your scholarship awards? I don't really have anything to add besides "pretty please give me more money?"

I would say any new acceptances or updated awards from t14 schools. But I also heard that people simply do literally what you said with some success. Consider this the first test of you as a lawyer. Say how much you want to come (and why) but how you simply cannot ignore the better $$ from other schools (I assume).
