Anyone who applied for merit/finaid several weeks ago still waiting? I have a deposit deadline coming soon and I really need to know at this point.

In the same situation. At ASD this past Friday, the financial aid director said that if you submitted your info 2+ weeks ago, you should get a decision either today or tomorrow. So I've been maniacally checking my email every five minutes today.curry1 wrote:Anyone who applied for merit/finaid several weeks ago still waiting? Also, NYU, the last time you updated your financial aid application platform, George W. Bush was taking watercolor classes in the Oval Office. At least make your rejection letter Chrome-compatible.

You email them saying you want to appeal, then they activate a tab in the financial aid app. It just has a text field for you to explain your situation and then a way to upload supporting materials.Stay-at-Home Son wrote:So uh...what's the appeal process look like?curry1 wrote:Just got my offer as well. Is anyone else having technical problems with their financial aid award? Got an email telling me to log in yesterday but every time I try I get an error about "flexclient" being in a session already

Oh nice -- North Williamsburg here. We will be happy as clams --- until the L shuts down and then I'm going to curse every day at the MTA.drjekyllope wrote:absolutely, a major appeal of NYU is that i can keep my gorgeous South Williamsburg apartment i've lived in for the past 3 years.notsonotorious wrote:Hey, welcome!drjekyllope wrote:checking in, just admitted yesterday! i've also lived in NYC for ~7 years and have an unhealthy addiction to NY real estate, if anyone wants advice on "affordable"/accessible neighborhoods around the city

Has anyone appealed their scholarship and heard back, by chance? The responded to mine saying they'd begin reviewing in April -- just curious if they've started

What kind of information are you guys using to appeal your scholarship awards? I don't really have anything to add besides "pretty please give me more money?"

Re: NYU Class of 2020
I would say any new acceptances or updated awards from t14 schools. But I also heard that people simply do literally what you said with some success. Consider this the first test of you as a lawyer. Say how much you want to come (and why) but how you simply cannot ignore the better $$ from other schools (I assume).catalina559 wrote:What kind of information are you guys using to appeal your scholarship awards?
