Visited recently and enjoyed it greatly. Anyone tried to get an extension on the April 1st deadline yet? Kind of throws a wrench in things seeing as some schools don't even negotiate till April 1st.

+1. I've been wondering if this is possible.JuliusCaesar wrote:Visited recently and enjoyed it greatly. Anyone tried to get an extension on the April 1st deadline yet? Kind of throws a wrench in things seeing as some schools don't even negotiate till April 1st.

Yeah, was wondering about that. I have read that it is okay if you submitted deposits to more than one school. They aren't binding - although after a certain point schools may tell you to get off the fence. It should buy some time.

What's the typical acceptance-to-scholarship turnaround time?

Those of y'all attending the March ASW, are y'all doing anything else in STL while you're there? I was thinking about maybe going to the Blues v Canucks game on Friday, but I'm still not completely sure what the schedule is going to look like.

Went to a Blues game when I visited in the fall, would highly recommend. The fans are really uncreative with their chants (seriously, nothing other than "Let's go Blues"?), but it's a nice arena and the team is fun to watch. There are a couple good breweries near Scottrade, too, if you need some pregame activities.BirdLawExpert wrote:Those of y'all attending the March ASW, are y'all doing anything else in STL while you're there? I'll be at the ASW this week as well. Has there been any discussion about a possible TLS meetup type thing? Hockey seems chill.BirdLawExpert wrote:Those of y'all attending the March ASW, are y'all doing anything else in STL while you're there? Seriously. Do it. Don't think twice. City Museum is by far and away the best thing in St. Louis.

As a Blues fan, I approve of the game attendance idea.tsujimoto74 wrote:Went to a Blues game when I visited in the fall, would highly recommend. Also, Scottrade is fun. The Blues are good. Tarasenko is a boss. And STL hockey fans are cool people. STL is definitely a baseball town, but there's definitely a niche for the Blues. The former Rams, not so much.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019
Withdrew yesterday.
If anyone is really unhappy/desperate with their scholarship, note that even after one "reconsideration," their admissions office responded to my withdrawal email by asking if they could reconsider me further for additional scholarship. I declined, but hopefully that's helpful.

Does anyone know the attire for the dinner reception? I'm just trying to decide whether I should pack a dress or jeans for it.

Didn't they say that everything is casual? I'm just bringing comfortable, slightly warm clothing.janderson821 wrote:Does anyone know the attire for the dinner reception? I'm just trying to decide whether I should pack a dress or jeans for it.

As soon as they send out the schedule and we can see if we're free for the night or not, I'm buying tickets in the nosebleeds. Anyone who's interested in a TLS/WUSTL hockey outing send me a pm.LittleGiants16 wrote:As a Blues fan, I approve of the game attendance idea.tsujimoto74 wrote:Went to a Blues game when I visited in the fall, would highly recommend. I don't think (b) exists, or I've certainly never heard it, but we can try it.BirdLawExpert wrote:Also, OP, can we get a new poll?Petrichor wrote:

Bummed I'm not going this weekend. Would've definitely been down to cross another NHL rink off the list.
