There are things to do. Since nobody has responded, I guess the question is whether your fellow admits want to do them. There's a huge grad student mixer at Moonies tonight, but you have to be a current student to get in, and you probably shouldn't get too ratchet since you have to wake up early for ASD anyway. Could probably just grab a drink at Rulloff's. And if you're still in Collegetown at 10pm, can check out the fantastic taco truck at the corner of Eddy and Dryden. Or just hang out in the Commons instead.AMajorChord wrote:bump for the homies goingAMajorChord wrote:are there things to do Thursday night? like in Ithaca before ASW?

I'm here today if anyone wants to meet up. I didn't realize I'd be free with nothing to do all afternoon

That's the one I'm going to as well so I can't imagine that would be the hold up. I hope it shows up soon for you.BillClinton Jr wrote:thanks, wonder what happened with mine...I'm going to the April 15 ASD so I wonder if that's the hold up?B102 wrote:I think we applied around the same time... I'll be looking around for dinner after my bus arrives around 7:30 (hopefully). I'd be happy to meet up with anyone.bezmialem wrote:I'm here today if anyone wants to meet up. I didn't realize I'd be free with nothing to do all afternoon

They have had "breakdowns in communication" so if you submitted travel subsidy requests awhile ago and haven't heard anything, just shoot them an email and they will let you know what's going on. That's what they told me today and I submitted mine 2/23

Same position as you. Admitted 3ish weeks ago and still no red book, so just know you're not alone.BillClinton Jr wrote:I was admitted 3ish weeks ago and already have my initial aid offer but I still don't have my red bookhow long has it taken other folks to receive their book?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that we had to put the first seat deposit down by May 1 OR within a week of receiving our scholarship offer.
Does anyone remember if that's right?

I don't recall seeing anything like that on mine. Also people got offers as early as mid feb if i remember correctly. No way they would expect people to deposit that soon. May 1st I think is the only requirement.js7981 wrote:I seem to remember reading somewhere that we had to put the first seat deposit down by May 1 OR within a week of receiving our scholarship offer.

That is correct, but not complete. It is May 1st, or within 1 week of receiving scholarship offer - whichever is later.

Ok, thanks. So those of us who have already received an offer have until May 1.B102 wrote:js7981 wrote:I seem to remember reading somewhere that we had to put the first seat deposit down by May 1 OR within a week of receiving our scholarship offer.

As far as aid offers go, is there any sort of response we need to give to Cornell to accept it other than just depositing before the deadline?

No, I don't think so, unless you want to try and negotiate.Dante181 wrote:As far as aid offers go, is there any sort of response we need to give to Cornell to accept it other than just depositing before the deadline?

I've been waiting for something, anything in the mail from Cornell, but I haven't received it. How long after they admitted you did you receive the package? Maybe I should email Admissions...HALT_REPTAR wrote:I got my "Big Red Book" this week and it's as nice as everyone said

How many students have joined the Facebook group so far? Also, did anyone have the interview this month? If so, when did you hear from the school?
Much appreciated!

There's also a delay in accepting students. I requested to join last week and I'm still not in.js7981 wrote:175DAFFODILS2019 wrote:How many students have joined the Facebook group so far?
