I am torn between double depositing to try to negotiate more between my final two choices or just pulling the trigger on the one I want and trying to keep negotiating with them throughout the summer anyway. The school I want more costs more overall but losing a deposit would hurt my moving savings immediately.

I LOVE the Olympics. The London Olympics was the first one (winter or summer) since I was born that I didn't watch every single event, because I was traveling throughout all of it, but I still caught probably half. I'm going to have to tivo a few events this year because I have a wedding on the 3rd day of the Olympics. I'm also just so excited to watch Rio's Opening Ceremony. There is no where in the world that I can think of who will be able to have such a fun ceremony.

When I was at the London olympics I kept forgetting I was 6 hours ahead so I would accidentally spoil the events for my friends back home

Do either of the schools have rules against double-depositing? Seems like you'd lose your leverage if there was a policy against it.archipm wrote:I am torn between double depositing to try to negotiate more between my final two choices or just pulling the trigger on the one I want and trying to keep negotiating with them throughout the summer anyway. This random thought popped into my head and now I'm curious-
When y'all were at ASWs and people asked you where you are from, did you answer with your home town/where you grew up or with the location you're at now (work or school)?

Both! I'd say "I'm from X, but live in Y now"

I think it generally depended on what I was asked, but I typically said I was from NYC. To be fair, my ASW experiences were in NYC, so it made more sense anyway.Muiraquita wrote:lemondrop wrote:This random thought popped into my head and now I'm curious-
