Excuse me, I am from Maine, the homeland of the Whoopie pie. And whoopie pie is basically a cake sandwich.
I'm sorry can you repeat that and make sense this time? It's two cookies with cream in the middle. What does that have to do with cake? Absolutely nothing.
If your whoopie pies are made with cookies, you're doing it wrong.

What a nonsense, west coast assertion. If they made pie out of kale you'd be all for it.

You could have corrected the spelling of job-soon-ioritis while you were at it.

This is fair. I got a little carried away maybe. I'll concede on this point. But it's really an inconsequential side debate because apple pie is 100 percent better than a whoopie pie, no matter how it's constructed.

True but only because icing is disgusting and cinnamon is the best spice ever.

No joke, I've actually seen kale-infused chocolate at a Whole Foods here. You might be on to something..

I hadn't noticed this until now. Ugh now it won't go away.

Also, for pie, we have: Lemon Meringue Pie, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie. Chicken Pot Pie. Shepherds Pie. Cheesecake (obviously a pie).

For cake, we have: cake.

Clearly there's one winner here.

Also for anyone coming to NYC who loves pie, go to Cafe Lalo. It's cheesy since it was in You've Got Mail but DAMN they have good pie.

Benevolent tyrants are a thing. Plato thought they were the best option we had.

Is it really tyranny if it's for the true good of the people?
