I'm through 7 episodes and wow - it's back to form. Perhaps not as good as season 1, but as good or better as season 2. Really fun.thelostweasley wrote:I second the HOC discussion group!capricasixx wrote:I love that my manager is in a different state. Also House of Cards was perfect. The rest of you people need to finish so we can have a discussion group.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I have a question about undergraduate degrees and deferrals (namely, whether the school might let me graduate after next semester instead of in May if they've already granted me a deferral.) Is there a good forum to pose this question where I might get helpful answers?

Just finished my Need Access (I know it's late, I had to move mountains to access my old retirement accounts). I would very much like to never deal with financial aid ever again thanks.

That's what I'm working on right now. Though I did take a break for Spivey's waitlist webinar.BirdLawExpert wrote:Just finished my Need Access (I know it's late, I had to move mountains to access my old retirement accounts). I would very much like to never deal with financial aid ever again thanks.

Just call the admissions office and ask. I doubt anyone has had this exact experience with this exact school.Schneidersbetter wrote:I have a question about undergraduate degrees and deferrals (namely, whether the school might let me graduate after next semester instead of in May if they've already granted me a deferral.) It was good. It confirmed some of the assumptions I had made about wait lists, and had some good information about timing. You missed some great stories about wait listed students showing up on orientation day or sending pizza to admissions (don't).BirdLawExpert wrote:How was that? But what if I send it anonymously? Nobody should be unjustly deprived of pizza.JeanLucPicard wrote: It was good. Well today's gonna be a long one. The only thing getting me through is a Lewis & Clark mixer down the street from work that I get to leave early to attend. Well, when I say I get to leave early I mean I'm going to, and nobody can stop me. It's at a really good brewpub so here's hoping they're buying me dinner and drinks.

HA, so glad i found this forum. The struggle is so real right now. Once I got my first acceptance and realized that there was no incentive for a promotion, i lost all of my motivation for my job.

I started a new job in January, when I already knew I'd be there a maximum of six months. They don't have to know that, though. I'm giving one month's notice on June 1st. Gotta do you.Budfox55 wrote:The struggle is so real right now. Once I got my first acceptance and realized that there was no incentive for a promotion, i lost all of my motivation for my job.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
List of dumb shit my students have said today:
"Yo teach, you smoke weed?"
"Yo teach, you believe in aliens?"
"Yo teach, what you eatin' for lunch?"
"Yo teach, why ain't you know Spanish?"
"Yo teach, is crabs a disease or a bacterium?"
"Yo teach, can I leave early to meet up with my boy across campus?"
"Yo teach, you got Twitter?"
God dammit I love teaching.
