Still curious about this lol
I think I read we are automatically enrolled in it and you have to waive coverage. There's some info on the website (I looked it up earlier to see the coverage).

For what it's worth, I got this reply from HUHS when I told them the forms weren't online:

"First, let me apologize for the less than great experience you recently had with our computer system. It is a new program this year.

We are in the process of fixing this issue and it might be fixed by Wednesday, June 1. If you prefer, you are welcome to scan, fax or send us your information. I have to add the following disclaimer. We cannot guarantee the security of this email system, but many students have used it over the years without a problem. Still, the choice is yours.

I am the person who will be processing your forms. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Connie Rancatore

Harvard University"

Does anybody know what activities will be taking place as far as orientation is concerned? I know my question is likely premature, but I'm just a little curious about the week.

I am wondering how long it takes for them to confirm that they received the docs.
I completed mine on May 7th (Saturday) and heard back from them on May 12th (Thursday) confirming that they had the forms. So that's 4 working days. The e-mail also said it takes about three weeks to process the form, assuming everything is submitted correctly.

I'd pose this in the Ask a Harvard Student thread since everyone there has done it

I had that realization minutes after my post, and I already got a response! It's basically socializing, I was told. Cool. Thank you!

When do your summers begin? I have 10 more days of work!

I guess they are just taking a bit longer this time around.

Anybody have any thoughts between living in Gropius or living in a nearby apartment with roommates? I already found an apartment at a decent (for the area) price. Trying to decide whether or not to cancel my room in Gropius. Has anybody hear anything about life in Gropius, either good or bad? The one guy I talked to at ASW was just like "meh, it's alright"

I'd take the apartment. But if your new place doesn't allow subletting, it could be more cost-effective not to. Life in the dorms isn't bad, but it would have been nice to have a better kitchen.

I lucked out and won't need to sublet. I'd be taking over a lease starting right before orientation in August and it ends at the end of May next year, so it's almost like an academic year lease for me because somebody else will have rented for the first three months.

The kitchen thing is one of my big issues too because I don't really wanna share a fridge, oven, microwave, etc with like 20 other people. It will make it really hard to ever prepare my own food.

For the benefit of next year's class, I just got the email this morning that all HUH housing is gone. It looks like I'll be going off campus.

Just moved into my apartment in Boston (after a 30+ hour drive in a u-haul). Things are starting to get real.

Nope, I just checked this morning. I'm just going to print out the forms from the admitted students checklist and take those to my doctor.

Yeah all my stuff was received from my doctor - but I thought there were also forms we had to fill out. Maybe my RC is terrible.

Has anyone received confirmation that their college certification was received? I sent mine last month, and I still don't have a check mark on my status checker. My college charged me $25 to get the form completed (UGH!!!!) and I really don't want to have them complete another one, haha!

You should have gotten an email. They won't update the checklist until some time this month.

Maybe call your undergrad to see if they sent it?

EDIT actually they updated my post acceptance status checker. So you need to track this down. I had to send my request twice, fwiw.

Fax or physical mail - I think both are listed on the front page.

Thanks! Was looking for a way to upload but I guess they have to make it hard to do.

Well yesterday my fiancée and I went to an Irish pub called "The Asgard" and it was pretty good. Then I got a bike from Cambridge bicycle (won't have a car up here). I might go ride around Cambridge today to check out the area while she is at work

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
