Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2019
Hello guys,
I am trying to satisfy the "unsatisfied requirements" on My Access. The site claims I need to complete two loan counseling sessions. However, I completed both of these sessions (twice) over a month ago. I made sure to list Georgetown as the school to receive my counseling session results. Is anyone else having this problem? I need to figure this out so I can accept my financial aid package!
Any help is much appreciated!

Never mind - found the answer to my question based on very cursory review of recent posts. Whoops

Just as a heads up to anyone else with this problem, I called the financial aid office. They said the system doesn't update automatically. It should update in June!missie wrote:+1 has anyone found a solution?thelincolnlawyer wrote:I'm having the same issue, I did the counseling about two weeks ago.jleon25 wrote:Hello guys,

I just received my "financial aid award", but it looks like I didn't actually receive an award of any kind. Is there someone else in this position who would be comfortable describing their "Award Package" to me so I can verify?

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2019
Got an email from Andy this morning re double depositing...
"I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to touch base with you
about your enrollment at Georgetown Law. You may know that we are
one of the law schools that participates in something called the
Overlap Report, a report provided by LSAC which tells schools if
students have deposited at multiple law schools. The most recent
report we received indicates that you are deposited here and
elsewhere as well. While we would love everyone to deposit only at
Georgetown, we realize that is not always the case.
However, since we are trying to make final enrollment decisions about
our class right now, the Admissions Committee asked me to reach out
to you to confirm that you have made a final decision to come to
Georgetown."
Any one else get this? I deposited at UT as well, I had hoped it would help in scholarship negotiation but no such luck. I'm wondering if there's any use to try and use this to ask for more money again, even though I've already been told no... Or if I should just give up on trying to get more money and confirm that I've decided on Georgetown (which I have). Also, anyone know if this is binding?

any thoughts on whether it would be appropriate to reply and basically say "I hope to ultimately commit to Georgetown but I'm still weighing the financial factors since x school is cheaper, and I'm not ready to make a binding commitment. thanks"
